September Fun

Hello all... we are still adjusting to all the new changes and hopefully will have another one shortly. We are currently still waiting on FL to send Ricks background check back...THEN we will have some foster boys in our home. Mathias has started pre-k and LOVES it! he has made several new friends but there are two in particular that he talks about a lot.. Alan & Jackson i think he called them.. Thinking of getting a play date for them to get together soon.

Johny is doing good.. he got Bronchitis this past week and is still trying to get over it. Poor kid.
Rick is FT school and PT work right now....
Rick & I got a calling in the church to be Name Extractors... Rick said hes done it before.. I have never done it but am excited to learn... REALLY EXCITED! I'm not sure why i'm so excited for it but I am. Johny Goes into NURSERY on October 12th! so the days are being counted down to that date... hahaha ... mommy will then be able to hear everything in RS!

Also Mathias wanted me to add that he & daddy caught a fish when we were at Tibble Creek Res. After we went camping with Josh & Abby.

Well thats all for now.

Moved,...unpacking,....and school...

So Mathias has been seeing a counselor to help him with his high anxiety and a few other things. We went to the Dar's office a little over 2 weeks ago and Mathias-es BP was around 135/115 ish.. I'm underestimating because i don't remember exactly what it was.. but he ate healthy that morning, his sugar levels were fine.. so the Dr had me sit him in my lap give him a hug for a few minutes and just talk to him.. in about 5 min's his BP dropped to NORMAL! crazy stuff... so i know i have high anxiety about things.. and i need to control it because its rubbing off on him. We've been working on Red flag and green flag touches( good and bad) so that my anxiety can be lessened with the two boys getting a long better. In the last week i have been able to see a HUGE difference in both boys.. however Mathias is getting a little more "this is mine don't touch" with his toys.. so i think sharing will be the next thing we work on...again...
I started the 6 week body makeover with some revisions of my own and am REALLY excited about it! Rick and I both actually got a GOLDS GYM membership to the gold's near our house. It'll be my first day going tonight after Bio homework...
That brings me to school. I'm talking 2 classes a hist. class and a bio class. both in which i'm excited about. Rick is taking more then 12 credit hours at BYU and working close to 30-35 hours a week with heritage, BYU lab, and Doug way. Hes a crazy man for choosing all three.. hopefully he will lessen his hours because of his class load.. and the fact we'd like to see him a bit more everyday... although us seeing him EVERYDAY right now is a HUGE improvement from this past summer. Johny is getting REALLY attached to Rick at the moment and anytime he leaves he will bawl for a good 5-10 minutes. I'm starting to get a taste of what people have to deal with when i leave Johny with them while i do the things i need to get done.. done.
Anyway so our adventure has begun we have a set schedule every week with the days we go shopping, to the library, play date park days, times Johny and Mathias take naps and bedtimes, also the days we have drs apts and Mathias starts PRE K! on Tuesday Sept 6th!! he is soooo excited! I am too.

Moving agian... and newer updates

Hi again its been a while. SO quick updates:
Rick- has been working out at the Military base all summer Monday- Thursday nights or Friday (hence why there hasn't been posts). he goes back ft to school at the end of August and will wk pt

Janee- currently a pt student at UVU studying Environmental science and resource management, also working pt at a call center and a Full time mom,I've also had a challenge of trying to pack up for our move to Provo on August 2nd.

Mathias & Johny: They're both great Johny is in a biting phase and is deciding not to talk much because of his binki in his mouth due to BITING... so its kind of hard to decide if its worth bite marks to have him talk yet or not... What are your thoughts?? He has also been on a kick to try and help mommy wherever he can, cleaning, laundry, going to the bathroom, and even just on the computer... where he is currently on my lap helping me write.(which is taking extra time to fix the typo's ha ha.

Mathias is doing SO MUCH BETTER at talking since moving out of the group home I'm so proud of him. he now will say whole sentences and tell me stories. I LOVE IT! He is REALLY into dinosaurs, Lizards, and bugs at the moment.

Anyway those are some updates, now we're moving to Provo to be closer to Ricks school as well as to help cut some costs on gas and time away from Rick. The boys and I miss him a lot and this way we can walk up to campus to enjoy a lunch or dinner with him, or he can come home and enjoy some time at home during meals. which will be nice! I'm REALLY looking forward to that.

UPDATE! FINALLY!!

So tonight i was able to make it to the temple... THE DAY BEFORE CONFERENCE!!! it was super special to me and it gave me the peace and comfort i needed. I feel horrible though because the rest of the family... ALL BOYS are sick right now! Poor things! anyway so johny started walking at 8 mo. and is now running all over the house!! he is such a character. he will have you giggling right along with him if you're not careful ;)
Mathias had testing to see if he had any learning disabilities.. well come to find out NO! YEAH!!! just ADHD... with that information they gave us some things to try at home with helping him focus... and Rick came up with something special for him in game form which he now loves to play :) we've been able to get him to sit still now for 3 minutes!!! that is a HUGE jump for 30 seconds! lol.

Rick is a ft student at BYU and a pt research assistant in the wildlife biology lab, as well as on call at heritage schools inc. and trying to be a dad and a hubby! hes a strong man and our whole family would fall apart with out him!

Me- Janee- am at home with the boys.. and rick and i have talked about doing foster care. We're looking into a few options right now and seeing which one is the best for our family.. we will see what happens soon.

other then that... Rick has about 4 years left until he finishes his masters at BYU if he gets accepted into the master's program... ( he will :D ) then we'll go from there.. so for now Orem is our home and we're missing friends in other places... however excited to be closer to family :D
